All about Duckpaddle

Duckpaddle Founder, how it all began!

(Lance with the first sign written Duckpaddle van over 30 years ago)

Lance Goodwin, began to build bird tables from his home in Forsbrook, Staffordshire after retiring over 30 years ago. This quickly progressed into fencing, gates and rose arches being made from rustic wooden poles and within a year, his products became so admired, a newly found hobby was turned into a small business.

Through further development and innovation in design, Lance built his first garden swing from pressure treated tanalised wood. With this foundation set, Lance started to exhibit his furniture at local garden shows, which proved to be a great success. This lead to us then joining some of the most prestigious garden events.

We are still a family run business with Lance's son James and his wife Becky now running the business, manufacturing from our workshop in Staffordshire, we have  refined our furniture now specialising in painted outdoor joinery and are now one of the country's leading manufacturers of Arbours, swings, and bespoke fencing.
